Nigeria's First Lady, Patience Jonathan Is Sick Again

SaharaReporters  has learned that Nigeria's First Lady, Patience Jonathan, is sick again and is shuttling between Spain and Germany in search of treatment. A source also told Sahara Reporters that the First Lady was also contemplating receiving medical treatment from a US hospital.

Mrs. Jonathan’s renewed health woes have accounted for her absence from several official events in Abuja and her home state of Bayelsa State over the last few days. A few days ago, Mrs. Jonathan made a quiet exit from Abuja en route to France where she was to allegedly receive some unspecified award. However, a source within the Presidency told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan’s trip to France was a ploy to enable her to shop for new doctors in Europe for her deteriorating health.

A source disclosed that she left France for Spain. The same source disclosed that the First Lady was considering being moved to a US hospital today. However, a source in the US who is close to the First Family told SaharaReporters that he was “not heard from the first lady regarding her trip to the US.”

Ayo Osinlu, a spokesman of the First Lady, told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan was in Europe in order to care for an ailing elderly woman who helped raise the First Lady. He failed to disclose the specific European nation where Mrs. Jonathan’s foster mother is hospitalized.

Kourtney Kardashian, considering being a surrogate for sister, Khloe as she battles infertility

Khloe Kardashian has made no secret of her struggle to get pregnant, and now her sister Kourtney is considering being her surrogate. The 28-year-old has tried conceiving naturally and also with fertility treatments since marrying her husband Lamar Odom in 2009.

According to Khloe: 'I found out I don't ovulate, and now my uterus lining isn't thick enough and I have to take pills to make my  uterus lining thicker. If that doesn't get thicker, then I cannot carry a baby.'

Deranged Woman kills parents in Delta state with a pestle

The ancient Oleh town in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State is currently filled with grief following the killing of a retired soldier and his wife by their 32-year-old mentally derailed daughter on Thursday.

The retired Army Warrant Officer, Mr Jonah Elili, and his wife were killed after been hit with a pestle by their daughter whose name was given as Elo. The lifeless bodies of the 75-year-old retired soldier and his wife, 65, were reportedly discovered in the early hours of Thursday by a neighbour who had gone to purchase some items from the deceased couple’s shop.

A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the neighbour had, after knocking at their door for several minutes without response, peeped into the house and was shocked to had discovered the husband and wife lying in the pool of their blood.

The source said the woman raised the alarm which drew the attention of people other neighbours, adding that the last they knew or heard about the family was when the retired Warrant Officer came out to drag his daughter who ran outside naked, back into the house and locked her up.

According to information made available to DailyPost, the couple was blessed with seven children (two boys and five girls), including the one that was afflicted with insanity who had been roaming about the community.

Meanwhile, the said Elo had been detained at the Oleh Police Station. She was alleged to have told detectives that she reportedly killed her parents because they hated her.

“My parents hate me. They locked me up in a room where they first hit me before I retaliated with a pestle. I saw blood and that is all I know,” Elo reportedly said.

A senior Police officer in Oleh confirmed the story, saying a signal had been sent to the appropriate authority just as the matter has also being transferred to the state police headquarters in Asaba for further investigations.

Residents of Lambe area of Ogun state have received an audacious letter from some fearless robbers urging them to give them a welcoming hospitality when they attack their community in the coming days.

The daredevil men of the underworld who described themselves as friends of the community said in the letter written in Yoruba language and pasted conspicuously on many walls on Akin Akindele, Community Road and Jelili Popoola Streets, that they are coming ‘very soon’ and are not afraid of the police or other security agencies.The letter reads, “You residents of this area be prepared to receive your friends very soon. If you like, inform the police or your security men or OPC, you will just lose your lives. What is important is to cooperate with us and to get ready to give us a warm welcome,” the robbers said in the short letter.

“If you like, inform the police or your security men or OPC, you will just lose your lives,” they warned.

The letter ends with these words, “We your friends, robbers”.

Panic and confusion had since enveloped the community with a resident describing Lambe as ‘the playground of armed robbers.’
“Lambe has become the play ground of armed robbers. Incessant robbery attacks have forcedlandlords to flee the area and are now tenants in other places,” he said, pleading that his name should not be mentioned.

Landlords and tenants in the area are so confused that they do not know what to do and are prepared for the worst. Due to fear of the unknown, residents of the community are so scared to talk about the issue.
A resident, who does not want his name disclosed, said he will not inform the police as there might be mass killings.

“Besides, the police and the OPC cannot be trusted because they may be aware of their coming and will not do anything,” he said.
A female resident said her family will relocate from the community this week. She said her family needs money to celebrate Easter, explaining that the residents are worried because of the lack of security in the country.

She revealed that none of the residents wants to talk about it because “the robbers might be living among us.”“ I have warned my husband to stay away from this matter because you do not know who is who in the area, “she said.

Another resident in the community said since they received the letter, most residents do not sleep again at night and the landlords and tenants are afraid to even inform the police or talk about it because those behind the letters could be among them.

According to information made available to DailyPost, one of suspects behind the impudent letterswas arrested in the night at about 1.00 am and handed over to the police at Ajunwo Police Division.
However, efforts to reach the station’s DPO were futile as his phone rang endlessly unanswered.
