Helicopter Crashes In Bayelsa State

Helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Navy is reported to have crashed. The former National Security Adviser, Andrew Azazi; and Kaduna state governor, Patrick Yakowa are reported to be among those that boarded the helicopter, although there is yet no official confirmation. The crash occurred in a swampy location near Okoroba community in Nembe local government area of the state.
 It is feared that there are no survivors of the air mishap. Meanwhile, an emergency rescue operation is currently underway at the scene of the crash. The chopper was carrying some prominent Nigerians, who were headed to Port Harcourt after attending the burial ceremony of Pa Obebara Douglas, father of the Special Adviser to the President on Documentation and Strategy, Oronto Douglas, in Okoroba, Bayelsa State.
