Following the head office of cable network HiTV being locked yesterday, Monday, November 21, 2011 by officers of the Nigerian Police Force, the management has apologized to its many subscribers.
In a statement release today, Tuesday, November 22, 2011, the management through its Public Relations Manager, Justin Akpovi-Esade confirmed and acknowledged that the cable network was experiencing disruption in its services. He however didn’t make mention the reason for which its services where shutdown.
‘Everything would be fine very soon. A team of competent personnel are working round the clock to ensure the issue is resolved. HiTV values its numerous subscribers and calls for their usual understanding and patience while the issue is being sorted out’, Akpovi-Esade said.
As reported earlier, sources had said the order to lock up the office which is located at 24a, Isaac John Street was issued by the management of Guaranty Trust Bank allegedly due to unpaid debt.
According to our reporters who paid the office a visit today, they report that it still remains locked up. However, a security guard was found in the premises. ‘Please you can make payment in the bank’, the guard suggested to subscribers who wanted to make payment for their cable subscription
