A Manchester United fan collapsed and died moments after Manchester City scored their derby match winner. Loyal United fan Pa Abu Bakarr Sesay, who has supported the Red Devils since a teenager, was watching the match on TV with his son and rival Manchester City fans when tragedy struck.
According to Sierra Leone’s Exclusive newspaper, Sesay had been taunted by City fans throughout the match and after Vincent Kompany scored in the first half, it all became too much for the pensioner.
His son, Abu, said: “Just after the goal was scored, my father left the cinema in Freetown unceremoniously without saying a word.
“He was taunted by Manchester City supporters and anti-Manchester United fans. They made life uncomfortable for him.” Half way through the second match Abu was told that his father had died.
