Jonathan sacks two special advisers, Emordi & Olagunju

President Goodluck Jonathan has relieved Mrs. Joy Emordi of her appointment as Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters with immediate effect. A statement by the special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati announcing the removal of Emordi did not give any reason for the removal.

Dr Abati in the same statement also announced the termination of the appointment of Dr. Tunji Olagunju as his Special Adviser on the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD). Dr Abati said President Jonathan thanked Mrs. Emordi and Dr. Olagunju for their services and wished them success in their future endeavours. 

The President had also fired nine of his ministers last week . Sacking spree?
