Jealous nurse pours acid on undergraduate lover

A 25-year-old UNICAL undergraduate, Edmund Educhukwu, is currently receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital after his girlfriend and nurse, Dorothy Nkanu, poured acid on him on suspicion of infidelity.
Even though he was rushed to UCTH by neighbours immediately after the incident on Friday, his right eye, face and torso were badly damaged by the acid.
The culprit is in Police custody.
