News reaching us says the footballer escaped while he was being taken to a restaurant to eat. He fled and shouted for help. That's how some members of the community came to his rescue and alerted the Police. The footballer who was kidnapped at Effurun (near Warri) in Delta state was freed somewhere in Isoko (Delta State). None of the alleged kidnappers were caught.
