Five persons were injured on Thursday at the Sabon Gari Park on New Road in Kano in an explosion beside two inter-state passenger buses.
Reports said the explosion occured around noon, as more non-natives fled the city to other parts of the country, for fear of attacks by the Boko Haram sect.
However, some eyewitnesses claimed it was a luxury bus tyre that exploded and not a bomb.
