Scottish international footballer Lee Miller spoke of the ‘saddest day’ of his life yesterday after announcing the death of his young wife.The former Falkirk, Aberdeen and Dundee United striker broke the news to friends and family that mother-of-two Donna had passed away overnight at the age of 29 following a prolonged illness. The cause of death has not been revealed but it is thought she may have been suffering from cancer.
In a tribute on Twitter, 28-year-old Miller posted a photograph of the couple’s wedding and wrote: ‘Saddest day of my life. RIP Donna... you will always be loved. A wonderful mum to our beautiful boys. They will never forget you xxx.’
