Is Raggae Maestro, Ras Kimono, Dead?

There are rumours making the rounds online that ace reggae musician Ras Kimono is dead. It was claimed that he died in the early hours of yesterday of kidney complications in India. Kimono who released his debut album, Under Pressure, in 1989 has 5 children from 3 different women. Google has nothing on this story. Is this story true?
